Posture Reset Protocol
Postural Integration & Length Restoration
A short, guided protocol designed to restore tissue length, breathing mechanics, and postural coordination to stabilise changes made through the Craniofacial Reset Protocol (CRP).
The Posture Reset Protocol is a structured sequence of breathing, mobility, and neuromuscular re-education exercises designed to:
- Reduce chronic postural bias
- Restore length to adaptively shortened muscles
- Improve spinal stacking and load distribution
- Reinforce postural patterns without force
It is suitable as a stand-alone protocol, but is most effective when used with CRP.
Why posture doesn’t fix itself
Most postural issues are not caused by weakness or poor awareness.
They develop over time through:
- Adaptive muscle shortening
- Altered joint positioning
- Fascia losing glide
- Learned motor habits
- Compensatory breathing patterns
Even when tension is released, these patterns can persist unless the body is shown how to reorganise.
This protocol addresses that missing step.
Effects on the spine
The spine functions as a continuous, load-sharing system, not isolated segments.
Postural distortion alters:
- Cervical loading (forward head posture)
- Ribcage mechanics and thoracic mobility
- Lumbar curvature and pelvic orientation
- Rotational balance and joint loading
Over time, this reduces spinal adaptability and increases guarding.
The Posture Reset Protocol supports spinal integration by:
- Restoring length to chronically shortened tissues
- Improving ribcage and diaphragm mechanics
- Reducing unnecessary muscular compression
- Reinforcing postural endurance rather than rigidity
The goal is not to “hold posture,” but to remove the forces that pull the spine out of balance.
How this works with CRP
CRP focuses on release.
Posture Reset focuses on integration.
CRP helps to:
- Release craniofacial and spinal tension
- Reduce compressive signalling
- Improve mechanical freedom
Posture Reset helps to:
- Restore tissue length
- Retrain motor coordination
- Build endurance to maintain alignment naturally
Used together, they form a complete loop: release → re-lengthen → stabilise
When deep craniofacial and upper cervical tension is reduced, dural membranes are no longer being mechanically restricted.
This improves dural compliance and reduces resistance to spinal re-stacking, allowing postural integration to occur with less guarding and effort.
What’s included
- A guided sequence of posture-specific exercises
- Breathing instructions to reduce tone and resistance
- Clear cues to avoid compensation or over-stretching
- Minimal equipment (chair, wall, towel)
- Designed for daily or semi-regular use
Time commitment: ~10–15 minutes per session
Who this is for
This protocol may be useful if you experience:
- Forward head posture
- Rounded shoulders
- Anterior pelvic tilt
- Asymmetrical stance or spinal tension
- Difficulty maintaining posture without strain
- Recurrent postural relapse after manual work
Important information
The Posture Reset Protocol is designed for general postural education, mobility restoration, and neuromuscular re-patterning.
It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.
If you have acute injury, unstable spinal conditions, recent surgery, or neurological or vascular disorders, seek professional guidance before use.
